On the edge of Cavehill,
above the city.
The Hilltop Sauna is built around one simple idea: heat, cold, and the view in between — with the whole of Belfast laid out below.
A hillside spot, with a city view
We're tucked on the edge of Cave Hill Country Park in Newtownabbey, on the north side of Belfast — close enough to the city to be an easy visit, far enough up the hill that the skyline opens out beneath you.
The site is built around four things: a hot sauna, an ice bath / cold plunge pool, a hot tub, and an outdoor wild shower — all set up so you can move easily between them, whatever the weather's doing.
The contrast is the point
Heat opens you up. Cold snaps you back. Done together, on repeat, it's less about either extreme and more about the swing between them — the kind of reset that's hard to get anywhere else.
Slow down
Time in the sauna with nothing to do but sit, breathe, and let your shoulders drop while the heat does its work.
Shock the system
A short, sharp dip in the ice bath. It's brief, it's bracing, and you'll feel it in your fingertips for an hour after.
Come back to yourself
Warm up in the hot tub or rinse off under the outdoor shower, looking out over Belfast while your heart rate settles. This part isn't optional.
A small, hands-on team
The Hilltop Sauna is run by a small team who are usually around for your visit — happy to point you toward the ice bath, top up the hot tub, or just leave you to it. If you've got questions before you book, get in touch and a real person will get back to you.
Come and see for yourself
The best way to understand the ritual is to do it. Book online, or get in touch if you'd like to plan a group visit.
